WBENC Certification in California

Women’s Business Enterprise Council Pacific (WBEC Pacific) administers WBENC and WOSB Certification to women-owned businesses in Alaska, Northern California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington State. But who services Southern California, and where’s the distinction between north and south?

Our regional partner Women’s Business Enterprise Council West (WBEC West) oversees WBENC Certification in Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Guam, Nevada, Southern California, Utah, and Wyoming. Within California, they provide certification in the Los Angeles and San Diego metropolitan areas, whereas WBEC Pacific provides certification in the Sacramento and San Francisco Bay Area metro regions.

But where do other prominent communities like Monterey Bay, Fresno, and Bakersfield fall? WBEC Pacific’s and WBEC West’s jurisdictions are divided by county. If you are in San Luis Obispo County, Kern County, San Bernardino County, or any county in California south of these three, your certification is administered by WBEC West. If you are in Monterey County, Kings County, Tulare County, Inyo County, or any county in California north of these four, your certification is provided by WBEC Pacific.
